Valentine’s DIY :: Heart Shaped Sugar Cubes

written by Natalie Ho 2014.02.05

There are just countless Valentine’s Day projects out there that are tremendously cute and simple to try. I decided to kick off Valentine’s Day this year with this simple DIY project – heart shaped sugar cubes, which I had the pleasure to contribute to SheKnows Canada.

I’ve always wanted to make my own sugar cubes and after doing so research, I decided to sweeten up my cup of tea with these super cute, easy, and adorable sugar cubes. You can essentially create any shape and color you want by changing up the mold.

Would you try these this Valentine’s Day (or any day for that matter!)?

As a fellow tea-drinker, I am especially intrigued but these heart shaped flower sugar cubes. I know plenty of other tea drinkers, and they would make great little gifts! Did you make them with a specific kind of mold? (A candy mold or a silicon mold, for example?)

Hi Allison! I just used a regular plastic candy mold! Turned out great!

I hope you will give it a try!

These are brilliant! Is there a recommended way to store them?

Thanks Kat! As soon as they dry you can pretty much store them the same as regular cubes. I’ve keep mine in mini canisters and left some in the fridge 🙂
