I love picking up fresh pastries on the weekends. It’s seen as a “hey, you’ve worked hard all week, time for something special” kind of treat. If I was a skilled baker, I’d definitely prefer to make patches of goodies at home over buying them from the store.
However, baking to me has always been super complicated, lots of steps, many ingredients involved, and requires precision and patience. Which quite frankly I don’t have what it takes to perfect.
