Food & Drink :: Festive Holiday Coffees

written by Natalie Ho 2017.11.21

Ready for some delicious festive coffees?

Holiday season aka the best time of the year is finally upon us and I’ve got so much fun DIYs, decor and lifestyle inspired content planned for you! First up is a selection of delectable festive coffees.

Nespresso recently released their holiday variations – Confetto, and these flavoured capsules don’t disappoint! The collection is nothing but fun and you can really experience the originality behind the design of the collection, through the flavours, the names of the capsules and the bold and colourful packaging created by globally respected artists, Craig and Karl.

Influenced by the creativity behind Confetto, I too, decided to add a playful spin to these coffees by topping them with an assortment of sweet and festive trimmings.

During Nespresso’s Holiday Event, I had the pleasure of meeting Craig and Karl, the globally renowned artists that were invited to bring the Confetto collection to life. Best known for their colorful, bold, and graphically stimulating artwork, this Nespresso collection was the perfect marriage of Craig and Karl’s lively style and Nespresso’s sophistication.

Nespresso Confetto offers three OriginalLine variations: Orangette, Liquorice, and Snowball (coconut) and three VertuoLine variations: Cherry, Peppermint Cane and Banana. My favourite by far is Snowball. It is infused with a touch of coconut and vanilla and when enjoyed with a splash of warm milk it offers a decadent creamy and velvety texture.

I experimented with a variety of different toppings to make these coffees extra festive and here are the top three contenders!

3 Festive Holiday Coffees

Banana Coffee Topped with Coconut Whipped Cream and Candied Banana Chips

  • Nespresso Variations Banana
  • Coconut Whipped Cream (these now come in a can!)
  • Banana Chips (you can buy them in stores or try dehydrating them on your own topped with maple syrup or honey)

Peppermint Coffee Topped with Whipped Cream and Candy Canes and Candy Cane Popcorn

  • Nespresso Variations Peppermint Cane
  • Whipped Cream
  • Candy Canes (chopped into pieces)
  • Candied (or candy caned) Popcorn

Coconut Espresso Topped with Coconut Whipped and Sprinkled with Chocolate, Scor bits, and coconut flakes

  • Nespresso Variations Snowball (coconut)
  • Coconut Whipped Cream (these now come in a can!)
  • Chocolate Chips
  • Scor bits
  • Coconut flakes
  • Nuts (optional)

The Nespresso Confetto variations are thoroughly enjoyable on their own. But I much prefer them topped with extra sweet holiday treats! These festive coffees are great if you’re planning to host some friends over for the holidays. Set aside some space on the counter top, bring out an assortment of garnishes and let the crowd customize their own!

I hope you’ll enjoy these creations as much as I do, and if you’ve not tried Confetto yet, be sure to pick up a few sleeves before they run out.
