DIY :: Spring Felt Flowers

written by Natalie Ho 2016.04.12

This post appeared originally on the Joe Fresh Blog – Fresh Edit.

Spring is such a beautiful season. The roads will soon be tree-lined and gardens blooming with colour. What better time to decorate your favourite Joe Fresh designs with your own DIY felt flowers. They add the perfect finishing touch to a straw bag, blouse or even jeans.

Decorate your favourite Joe Fresh designs with pretty floral embellishments.

Final 4

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Assorted felt sheets
  • Hot glue gun
  • Hot glue sticks
  • Fabric scissors
  • Pin backs (optional)
  • Pearls (optional)

STEPS

  1. Using fabric scissors, cut out the felt templates required for each type of DIY flower as indicated in the photos below.
  2. Affix each felt petal with hot glue gun. If you’re crafting with children, be sure to assist them with this step as the glue is very hot.
  3. Set aside to dry and move on to your next!
  4. Attach pin backs to the back side of each flower so that you can add them to your favourite Joe Fresh accessory or clothing item. They are the perfect embellishment for your straw tote bag or denim pieces.
