Beauty :: Facial Definition and Contouring Made Easy

written by Natalie Ho 2015.08.13

Beautiful, plump cheeks and well defined jawlines are important among women, including myself. I’ve been blessed with chubby cheeks, but certainly not well defined facial contours. I’m sure many of you have tried contouring using various makeup kits that are now available on the market. And some of you have likely perfected the mastery of contouring, but I’m sure many of you, just like me,  don’t have time in the morning to spend minutes painting contouring lines of different shades, and highlighting with different powders or just simply haven’t mastered this skill yet.

Good news though. I’m happy to be sharing two new products from Estee Lauder that may aid you with more defined looking facial contours – New Dimension Shape + Sculpt Face Kit and New Dimension Shape + Fill Expert Serum.

The New Dimension Shape + Sculpt Face Kit is a simple two step contouring kit perfect for adding to your existing makeup routine without adding more time. This all-in-one face palette is sure to provide expert contouring results. I love this duo matte creme compact as it creates a natural, more sculpted look.

Here are some steps to help you master easy contouring from the experts of Estee Lauder, I’ve also shown in the photo below the key areas to apply the Contour and Highlighter components to give you a visual:

Step 1 Apply Face Kit before liquid or creme foundation for a natural look, after for a dramatic look. First, Contour: using the angled side of applicator or a concealer brush, apply Contour (right-hand pan) just above jaw, earlobe to chin.

Step 2 Add more Contour from midpoint of ear to midway under cheekbones. Blend a touch on each side of face, at hairline.

Step 3 Highlight: Use the flat side of the applicator. From left-hand pan, apply Highlighter down center of forehead, nose, Cupid’s bow and chin. Add more on cheekbones. Use fingertip to blend, blend, blend both Contour and Highlight.

New Dimension Shape + Fill Expert Serum is ideal for redefining contours, accentuating natural fullness and volume, strengthening skin, and creating instant radiance. By applying 2 pumps on clean skin before moisturizing, in just 2 weeks, you’ll see more defined looking facial contours!  The shaping technology and advanced pro-collagen complex help in bringing more visible volume and structure to your face (and it’s all you!).

I bought the contour cream but have held off using it as I read it is photosensitive and I live in fl. What are your feelings in this?
