A few weeks ago, I shared a few fashionable “made to order” options, from dresses, to men’s suits, to shoes and watches. I had the pleasure to try Dress Mavens first hand, an online shop that offers customized dresses with one vision in mind – to help women embrace their beautiful shapes and sizes (from plus size to petites). I’m so happy that my online customized dress has arrived (after a short 3 weeks) and couldn’t be more satisfied with the quality and style of the dress.

The dress was perfect for a day in the office and I decided to layer mine with a thin sleeved top to suit the cooler weather, turned out pretty good I’d say!

Tips on Measuring:
I selected the two-tone Jackline style dress with a pencil skirt bottom, suitable for a number of different body types. If you’re skeptical about making your own measurements, it’s definitely recommended to find a friend for increased precision.
My dress came a little bit snug on the skirt portion. I recommend a half an inch allowance around your hip measurement if you’re deciding on a pencil skirt bottom due to its slimmer fit. I don’t believe I would have encounter this problem if I had chosen another skirt style. The fabulous news is that Dress Mavens offers a $35 alteration reimbursement if your dress requires additional alterations.
Despite the minor alteration, I absolutely enjoy the Jackline dress. The dress is fully lined, the craftsmanship is superb, and makes a perfect dress for the office. I paired my two tone wrap style dress with leopard heels for an edgier, Fall look. What do you think?
I applaud the ladies behind Dress Mavens. Not only did they bring their vision to life but they also give a portion of all proceeds to benefit the local community.
