Outfit :: Titika Activewear {Lifestyle Review}

written by Natalie Ho 2012.12.30

Happy New Year’s Eve! Are you ready to tackle 2013? I’ve started my list of New Year’s resolutions, one of them being staying active and getting my butt to the gym more often. Speaking of being more active, in my last week’s Style Eh? post, I introduced a great Canadian activewear company – Titika Activewear.

Titika put me to the challenge, to test out their clothing for comfort, fit, quality and style.

Read further for my full review …

Ever since I got this hoodie from Titika (currenlty on in-store), I’ve been taking it everywhere with me. I absolutely love the way it fits and its super comfy material. I am wearing a size 0 in this hoodie and it fits perfectly (I typically wear xs/s and 0/2), though keep in mind this has a looser fit in the torso, but arms and length are perfect. It is 100% cotton and machine washable (it did not shrink on me!).

I find the details in Titika’s clothing gives me the ability to style it for fashion and not just for sport activities. Check out the spiked stud detail on the pockets. The spiked studs gives this hoodie a modern and stylish look. I paired this hoodie with a white t-shirt (for a super soft version here), black dress joggers (similar from Aritzia here), and wedged suede/leather boots (from Aldo last year but similar version here) for a casual yet polished look.

This hoodie also features double zippers and pockets with mesh lining on the side. I don’t know what it is, but these tiny little details totally won me over! This hoodie has a higher hem in the back. From a fit standpoint, it doesn’t look bulky from the back, which is always an added bonus 😉

The actual hood had plenty of room and kept me dry on this on and off rainy December day.

Another thing I wanted to note was that all of the tags attached to Titika’s clothing are super easy to remove. They’re attached by plastic removeable clothing pins. Another added bonus is that all the price tags are stuck on with sticker backings, making it extremly gift-giving friendly (no more scratching prices off with a sharpie!).

My overall experience with this hoodie was an A+! Thanks Titika for letting me test this out (and thanks for the staff on Queen St W. for helping me select a few fantastic items).

If you haven’t visited on of Titika’s locations across Ontario – here’s a list of their locations.

Readers – you think I’d be able to pull this hoodie off with a pair of pumps?!
