DIY :: Zipper Sweatshirt

I’ve been obsessed with sweatshirts lately (see previous sweatshirt DIY tutorial). There are so many options at any price point, of course my absolute designer favourites include the evil eye sweatshirt by Kenzo, the side zipper sweatshirt from Phillip Lim 3.1 and the holey Robert Rodriguez number. If you’re not the type to spend loads on a sweatshirt – there are some many great inexpensive options.
I purchase the one for this DIY from Forever21. It’s now sold out but I’ve included a few options with the “what you will need” section. I decided to borrow Mr. Lim’s style and applied a couple of zippers to make it more interesting. Results were great!

Have you loaded up on any sweatshirts this season?

What you will need:

  • 2x zippers, I used 18 cm zippers

  • Needle and thread or sewing machine

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! We went to the new Ripley’s Aquarium in Toronto on Sunday, it was a great experience but can I make a suggestion to you? Don’t go on a weekend! If you do, be sure to purchase advance time tickets, otherwise you’ll be waiting forever!
