DIY :: Zipper Sweatshirt

I’ve been obsessed with sweatshirts lately (see previous sweatshirt DIY tutorial). There are so many options at any price point, of course my absolute designer favourites include the evil eye sweatshirt by Kenzo, the side zipper sweatshirt from Phillip Lim 3.1 and the holey Robert Rodriguez number. If you’re not the type to spend loads on a sweatshirt – there are some many great inexpensive options.

I purchase the one for this DIY from Forever21. It’s now sold out but I’ve included a few options with the “what you will need” section. I decided to borrow Mr. Lim’s style and applied a couple of zippers to make it more interesting. Results were great!

What you will need:

• A sweatshirt. Mine was from Forever21 which is now sold out, but really good options here, here, and here 
• 2x zippers, I used 18 cm zippers
• Pins
• Scissors
• Needle and thread or sewing machine
