Just a quick hello and sharing a few new items added to my beauty regime and make-up bag lately. Hope you had a great weekend, my Sunday was super productive, follow along on Instagram to see what I’ve been up to!
SpaRitual Body Serum for Slow-Aging and their Holiday collection nail polish in Intellect and Intention (made with recycled glass for extra shimmer!).
I was introduced to SpaRitual a couple of years ago at a local spa. I loved their nail polish because they are vegan and free of DBP, toluene, camphor, formaldehyde and formaldehyde resin. I found that they last longer then regular nail polish. Their body care products are also made from vegan ingredients including plant essences that are Certified Organic and Fair Trade. Their holiday collection is infused with recycled glass accentuating the shimmers.
I don’t have a full luscious set of eye lashes and they also grow downwards … which means having the right eyelash curler is a must because let’s face it, I am way too lazy to put on falsies on a daily basis. I’ve been using the Shiseido curler for years but I have now switched over and love the Tweezerman Procurl Curler (they are both rated 4 out of 5 stars on Sephora). The curler has a narrower top bar allowing the curler to get closer to the base of the lashes. It also comes with three refill pads and hello… it’s rosegold in colour! Tweezerman is famous for their tweezers, an item that any girl can’t live without. Try their Stainless Steel Slant Tweezers and I bet you will notice the difference, it grips much better than no-name brands.
I am a Dr. Jart fanatic. It’s too bad they don’t carry the brand in Canada that’s why every time I travel to the US I stock up. During my last visit, I picked up this travel size version of Dr. Jart+ Black Lable Detox BB Cream. I typically use the Premium version but thought I’d give this a try so that I don’t have to lug a full size around on my trips. This one is just as good as the Premium version however if you prefer something with a higher SPF, then I’d stick with the Premium which has SPF 65. If you haven’t tried this BB cream yet, I highly recommend it.
EnvyDerm sent me a few lip plumping lip glosses to try, though I don’t need to plump my lips per se, but I was very curious to see what the results would be. Therefore, I tried it. In the first 15-20 seconds, I started to feel a tingly sensation that lasted about under a minute. My lips did look more ‘full’ but I was more drawn to its moisturizing effects and I also liked the fact that the gloss didn’t feel sticky on my lips, the color is also fabulous.
I really enjoy getting my nails done at the salon mainly because of the manicure component and not so much the nail polish application as I really like to experiment with colours on my own at home. When I tried this cuticle cutter by Tweezerman I knew I can now achieve salon results at home. This cuticle cutter differentiates from others due to its spiral spring handle. It allows flexibility and control since you don’t have to grip on it the same way as you would with traditional cutters. The cutters are also fairly sharp, pay attention if you’re using these for the first time!
I’m also super excited to try my GLO Solo Whitening Kit! No strips, no trays, and no sensitivity (I’ll have to be the judge of that!). You only need to apply the gel 2x at time of brushing for 2 weeks and wait for a minute. Apparently its 5x as effective as other household options. Stay tuned in a couple of weeks when I share my full review and a GIVEAWAY with GLO Science for their Everyday GLO Teeth Whitening Maintenance Pen!
