Hello! A super quick post today, but a good one! I came across these creative, adorable, and in MY mind, practical life and love calendars by Brigada Creativa. Funny how we keep track of all the important parties, meetings, and numerous to-dos but rarely pay attention to our emotional meters.

I love these life and love calendars. The “Love Life, Day by Day” calendar has 365 hearts for each day, each divided into 4 quadrants, representing: time together, conversation, caress-kisses and sex. Keep track of your heart wellness by filling in the portion daily – hopefully you’ll end up with more full hearts than none! The “How was your day?” calendar, equally as important, tracks your daily emotions by allowing you to fill in the blank happy faces: very good, good, ordinary, bad, or very bad.

They say that Moms are hard to shop for but I beg to differ! Father’s Day is this coming Sunday and as usual, I ain’t had a clue what to get for the Pops. I typically get my Dad the latest tech gadget, a bottle of fine wine, or some plaid shirts because you really can’t have enough of plaid (insert happy face).

This year, I decided to combine a bit of the usual with something handmade = fabulous plaid shirts from Joe Fresh (I also snatched them for $10 off at $19 a pop) + a quirky DIY Shoe Shine Kits.

Mother’s Day is just a week away! I find that moms are the hardest to shop for (at least the the case with mine!). Why not combine the best of both worlds by shopping for something stylish but also personalizing your gift by DIY-ing something special for her too?

I decided to tackle a unique project for Mother’s Day. I found this pretty floral blouse at Joe Fresh and was immediately inspired to use the floral print to personalize a gift for mom. I remember a few weeks back I stumbled upon a candle in a ‘soup blow’-like canister. I loved it and haven’t really seen anything like it in stores. Therefore, I proceeded to create my own DIY Soup Bowl Candle using the print from the blouse as my Mother’s Day Gift to Mom.

A quick hello before we head off to the weekend! Totally obsessed with pink for Spring, I’m talking all shades of it too.Two items I’m definitely adding to my closet for Spring are the pink bow sling backs shown below and a pink spring jacket is also an absolute, though I haven’t found the perfect one yet, any ideas?

Happy weekend to you! I was hoping to post this up on Friday, but had some minor technical difficulties, apologies! I’ve been shopping at Persunmall (a haven for fashionistas!) for quite some time now (you can see past outfits here, here, and here). I’ve been nothing but impressed by their items and honestly have never been disappointed.

I just received my recent order and it was the first time I included a few of their jewelry pieces. They are GORGEOUS and for a fraction of typical retail price. I posted a sneak peek on Instagram earlier this week, you can really see for yourself.

Three little words for you today. I love Etsy. Etsy is like Pinterest, highly addictive and I can spend hours on it. I typically browse for art work, DIY supplies (such as fun rhinestones and findings), and I love finding one of a kind gifts for special occasions. Being an advocate for handmade goods, I really enjoy supporting local crafters and businesses, it feels like every piece has its own tale.

My sister, Rufina, has been my long time preferred shopping buddy. There are only a few girlfriends I can shop with (you know who you are), and my sister certainly tops that list. There is something sacred about the act of shopping, having the right shopping buddy is so important. Especially when it comes to being the voice of reason, “Do you really NEED that?”

I’ve always been a huge fan of Stella and Dot. I was first introduced to the brand while attending a small event in Toronto, where one of the ladies had someone from Stella and Dot host a trunk show. Since then, I’ve hosted a trunk show myself, it is so much fun to gather the ladies together, sip on some bubbly and get our shop on. The best time of the year to do that is just before the holiday season.
